I am also 9 months post op. I lost 82 pounds and still have 25 to go. I don't drink nearly enough water, I know that. That is probably the reason why my loss is so slow. It's true what they say when they say to drink tons of water and eat your protein! You've done wonderful losing so much. It's always faster in the beginning so don't get discouraged. Just keep doing what your doing and try to drink more water too. Myself, I need to get off my coffee and on to water. I'm sure the caffeine isn't helping. Good luck

My lap RNY anniversary is one day after you... I started out at 275 and now down to 170, so I have lost a little bit less than you. I have only lost 11.5 pounds in the last 3 months, so I know how you feel. Honestly, I am not eating or drinking enough, and I have been sick with migraines so I have not been working out much either until they are under control. My doc says it will kick back in once I get the calories and water up. Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone! Good luck to you.

I was at the same rate too,,,,,till 1-1-03. I was stuck at 112.5, now at a loss of 115 since new year. I think mine was me though. I baked for the holidays, and I don't really dump on anything, so I stayed the same, after christmas, I slowed on the sweets, then when new years eve came I said more protien please....and got back on track. But I am always hungry now. I think boredom and depression have a lot to do with it too as I am moving and so on. But I started at 382 and now am down to 267,,,from a size 32W(and those barely fit, some didn't) now in a size 22. I know I haven't been getting enough water in myself too. Plus I haven't exercised for a while, but started that too. I know that before the holidays if I hit a platau, i would just change the eating routine and sometimes that would work.....maybe 3x's a day isn't enough, or change the type of protien. Enough of me,,,,,I just wish you the best.

my circumstance is similar to your and I too would like to hear from others. I had surgery 5/1/02, startedmatm 343 and now at 220 been stuck there for almost 2 months. I get all my water in plus I eat between 800-1000 calories a day. I get moderate exercise and I would like to break 200 for the first time in my adult life (56 yrs.). Margaret Pless
