At about 10 months post-op, I stopped losing, and then had a 3 pound gain at holiday time. YIKES! I buckled down and lost those 3 only to have a 2 pound fluctuation for a month, lose-gain-lose-gain, the same 2 pounds. So I buckled down and over the last 3 weeks I have upped the exercise from 3 sessions a week to 4, and have upped the water, and have upped the protein (I now have 1 shake a day) and have lowered the snacking/carbs (not eliminate, just cut back a little). Well, I have now dropped 2 more pounds, in addition to the original 2 that I played with for a month. I think what happens is that eventually the easy weight loss stops and then it becomes work to get off the rest. Eating several small meals a day is good-don't get thrown off by the weight gain. But you must make those small meals protein based, and keep the carbs low. And are you exercising? I swear that exercise is the key to get the metabolism moving again. And also, if you eat protein based meals and dense foods-like the meats, chickens etc, you will stay full longer (I also assume you don't drink with or right after meals to keep that full feeling?).
