Question:
Does Cigna Cover plastic surgery?

Hello all, I have decided to start the journy of Plastic surgery. I had RYN in Oct. 99 and have been at the same weight for over 3 yrs now. Time to take care of extra skin! So my question is: Does anyone have Cigna Insurance and did they cover any plastic surgery? Any and all help would be appreciated! Thanks so much in advance! jill    — Jill B. Cigna is really tough to just get them to pay for WLS let alone PS.

It must be medically necessary, by Cigna standards. Hardly anyone gets it paid for through Cigna, they are really tough. So, I will be using tax money to pay for mine.

Cigna basicly said under no circumstances would they cover plastic surgery unless it was medically necessary and that it was very rare to have an actual medical necessity. There is financing for plastic surgery available and payments are reasonable. Good luck!
