Linda,
I believe this is normal. I'm 4 weeks post-op and I'm down 21 pounds.
Everyone is different. It all depends on how much you are exercising, how
many carbs you are eating, how much water you are getting in, etc. Don't
worry too much about it, you are doing great.

5 pounds per week average is GREAT. I weighed about the same as you when I
started out, lost 40 before the surgery but lost pretty slowly afterward I
thought. I documented it all in my profile if you're curious but now at 17
months out, I'm 9 pounds below my goal. You are doing great, just don't
measure yourself against anyone else. We are all individuals and can get
pretty discouraged if we compare ourselves to others too much. Congrats on
the 25 pounds.

PLEASE! I am also 5 weeks and I've lost 16 lbs. We all lose at our own
pace due to differences in metabolism, exercise, food intake, and body
shape. You are doing great!

Linda, 25 lbs. is great. There are many stories that we read that show
people losing a lot quicker. My surgeon told me that the average weight
loss for me now should be between 3.5 and 5 lbs a week. It all depends on
how much you need to lose. Those with a higher BMI will normally lose more
quickly. Keep up the good work, your doing fine.
