Question:
How many of you have lost 100 #s in four months or less?

I am wondering how possible it is for me to lose 100 pounds in four months. Does it happen often? Those of you who have, please let me know what all you've done to achieve that in four months. I am starting out at 350, which from what I read means I might lose faster at first, but I don't know if that means fast enough to lose 100 pounds in four months. I would just like to hear some personal experiences. Thank you.    — Kelly M. (posted on March 6, 2002)

I started where you are, at 346.5. Now I'm 3 months post-op and I have lost 62 pounds. Only 100 more to go!

Yesterday was my 3 month anniversary, and I have lost 80 lbs. If things go the way they have, I'll have lost a little over 100 pounds by my 4 month anniversary. As far as what I've been doing to lose it? Nothing. I eat when I want. I exercize when I want(which is more often then I ever thought I would) So far this has been pretty easy. I sure hope it lasts.

I started out at 5'9" and 335 lb. At my four month anniversary, I'd lost exactly 100 lb. I don't know that I did anything special to achieve it... I try to get in all my water every day, and at least 50 grams of protein per day, but that's it. Sometimes I even cheat (MAYBE once every two weeks) and have a little sugar (I like shortbread cookies...they give me the sweetness I want, but they're not the same at Oreos or chocolate candy, etc.) As far as exercise...I don't do that enough either. But, I'm taking my vitamins religiously, eating right and my bloodwork is perfect, so I'm a happy camper.
