Question:
Should I be concerened that Medicaid is taking so long to respond?

I am concerened about why it is taking Illinois Medicaid so long to approve me...I am afraid I will be denied. It has been 3 weeks since the paperwork was sent in and I have talked to alot of people on here that got their approval in a matter of days...any suggestions on how to get thru this with my hair in tack would be greatly apprieciated....(I am actually losing my hair due to the stress of this whole thing!) Do you have any co morbids? I have Wisconsin medicaid and it took about one month for them to approve. There should be a number on the back of your card that you can call. I called to check on the status of my approval. If you have comorbids and have a diet history and a history of morbid obesity you should qualify. Hi i have ky medicade and it took about a mth for all the paper work to go threw when i was gonna try and do the lapband frist it took 1yr for all to go threw and get approved.It will happen it just sometimes takes a lil time Best wishes to you

Maine medicaid is allowed to take two months before it gives you an answer.

I am on New Jersey medicaid. I was very surprised they approved me within a week. My info was sent in by my surgeon and that was it. My surgeons office called me as soon as they heard.
