You should really touch base with your surgeon in a situation like this, but in the mean time - are you getting enough water into you? Sounds like a little bit of dehydration to me. I do not think that you have lost too fast you are right on target. Take a good look at your food and liquid consumption you may not be getting enough of something.

This not that uncommon, but do mention to your surgeon. At 2-1/2 yrs PO I still have that problem occassionally when I stand up too fast. Mostly will happen when I'm working out. At about 9-12 months is was the worst and happened a lot. It's just hydrostatic changes in your blood pressure. It can't get up high enough, fast enough, when you stand up quickly. I also had this happen when I lost a lot of weight 11 years ago, so I wasn't surprised when it happened again after WLS.

FOURTY POUNDS IS NOT TOO MUCH TOO SOON IT COULD BE THAT YOU ARE NOT GETTING ENOUGH PROTEIN THAT CAN CAUSE DIZZINESS AND EXTREME FATIGUE CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR TO MAKE SURE ITS NOT YOUR BLOOD LEVELS ALSO REMEMBER THIS IS NEW TO YOUR BODY IT IS LEARNING ALSO HOW TO HANDLE THE POUNDS GONE, BUT MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING ENOUGH PROTEIN TRY SOME LOWFAT YOGURT OR A PROTEIN SUPPLEMENT BUT JUST TALK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AND HE WILL HELP YOU THROUGH THIS STAGE. BUT THE LACK OF PROTEIN IS SERIOUS IT CAN CAUSE DIZZINESS, EXTREME FATIGUE, NAUSEA, AND HAIR LOSS. I HOPE I HELPED SOMEONE WHO MIGHT SEE THIS ANSWER

I had the same thing happen to me, my pcp labs and checked my lytes, my potassium was low, and I was slightly dehydrated. At 2.5 years post op @goal, I still take potassium suppliment, micro K.. and my labs last week, show my iron very of which I take Trinsicon RX and my zinc was very low also, I take zinc 220 Rx. I am telling you all this because of the malabsorbtion we have and how vital it is to get our labs at regular intervils, or when something just isnt right to us. Good luck and enjoy the ride. Not necessarily your case, but when this happened to me, it was due to some dehydration.

Also, if your doctor prescribed Pepcid for you, it could be that. One of the side effects is dizziness.
