No, but let's make one. Eric, can you give us a page or two to contribute bits and pieces? Maybe a book register or a place we can scan/email receipts etc to the site? Cheers!

Dr. Sapala of Michigan recommended reading Protein Power, by the Eades; The Zone (both books) by Sears. They are his suggestions for understanding WHY I will do better if I follow his post-op dietary instructions. I recently did a LOT of reading for nutritionally battling cancer; same ideas

I use recipes from the book "The Carbohydrate Addict's Diet." It has several zero-carb recipes, as does "Carbohydrate-Addicted Kids". Both are by a couple, both doctors, the Hellers. My son (age 9) has to severely limit carbs due to a systemic yeast infection (digestive.) These have been a lifesaver for me in feeding him. I'm pre-op so I will have to wait and see if they work for me!

A friend has crohns disease and id restricted to no- processed-sugar dishes. He is sending me his fave recipies. If anyone wants them, please let me know! I am pre-op, so I will let others know how they worked for me, as I try them. Lisa

L. Swain - I would love some of the recipes - I have a hard time finding food to cook... A lot of folks on this site seem to be able to eat things I can't - like a lot of stuff made with dairy products and/or sugar. I'd welcome anything new. By the way all, it was on a different topic post I think but someone posted a recipe for a breakfast burrito and I tried it - it was really pretty tasty, I haven't tried freezing any yet for future use but warm there good so thanks. UPDATE*** As it turns out, the book my pal sent to me was for patients with chron's disease... Almost every recipie in the book has low sugar items, but had other things that I cannot have (like rice, bread, etc.) yet. I am sort of ditching the book, and just going to wait til I have the step 4 diet "adding regular foods into my diet again), and carry on with the low sugar and sweetener substitutions (common sense) approach. I would LOVE a sugar free chocolate cake recipie to go with my fat/sugar free ice cream. ; )

I have found that in Suzzane Sommer's cookbook she has a wonderful "sugarfree chocolate cake". Good Luck!
