Question:
Could everyone with questions post what type of surgery they are having?

I try to answer questions posted but it is hard to give advice when no one tells what type of surgery they are having. Advice to an open RNY would be different than a VGB. Could everyone please include this in their questions? Thanks so much.    — Jan T. (posted on January 12, 2000)

I have often wondered the surgery type of the "questioner" as well. Unless the question is posted anonymously, it is usually easy to find this information if you click on their name and check out their profile. The surgery type is usually listed at the top. However, I do agree that this extra step wouldn't be necessary if the type was included in the question/answer. But if not, then most of the time the information is quickly accessible in their profile.
