Question:
I have hit a plateau at 120 lbs. and need to lose 25 more. What can I do??

I have been at this weight for over 2 months and I only have a short distance to go. Please e-mail me at [email protected] with any and all suggestions. Thank you.    — Jackie B. (posted on April 3, 2000)

Hi Jackie. I, like Al, have 30 more pounds to go also and it is a bear to get off. I think it is important to exercise and get your wter in also. Just think of all the people who do just have 10-20 lbs to lose and how tough it is for them. Sometimes it takes SEVERAL months. Be patient. If you are following the program and exercising, it will eventually come off. Our bodies want to hang on to all the fat it can. You are lucky this is your first plateau. I had surgery in August and have lost count of mine. Ha. Keep up the good work, you are almost there. And maybe we all wont reach those stupid National Institute of Health weights they recommend for our heights. As long as you are healthy and feeling good, that is what matters. Not all of us were meant to be 135 lbs.
