Question:
Any information on weight restrictions for this procedure ...

I've heard discussion on this site and elsewhere of having the panniculectomy done at time of obesity surgery, and know of people who have. My problem is that I've lost nearly 300 lbs. I still need to lose another 75 lbs or so, but haven't been successful on that line yet. I have approached a couple surgeons about the panniculectomy, and they refuse saying that I am still too heavy and that healing would be difficult at best, if I ever healed properly at all. I would guess the apron of skin and flab that is hanging is a good 20 lbs or more ... and I'd love to get rid of it, but can't find anyone who's willing and able. Any suggestions?    — Sherrie G. Hi, I think you are defineately ready for a Panni.I just saw my plastic surgen and he said I would be a great canadot for this procedure and I don't have 20lbs.of hanging flab/skin. I am however,in Indiana and see a plastic surgen here. I think you need to search the net. to find a Dr.to do it. Good luck. B.U.
