Question:
How long will the time in surgery by for Fobi pouch?

Any of you that have had the Fobi-type surgery do you know how long it takes the Doctor to do this type? Or is it the same for all the gastric bypass surgeries. Thanks for any info. Lorraine    — Lorraine L. (posted on February 21, 2001)

it takes about the same time, mine took almost 2 hours and I had it done with Dr. marema in Ft. Lauderdale,fl

Hi Lorraine, I see you are having your surgery done by Dr Lirio. He did mine October 12, 2000 and I am down 98 pounds. My surgery took 6 hours. Dr Lirio is very through and checks everything. You couldn't be in better hands. Good Luck, Helen Carpinello
