Question:
Does Michigan Vocational rehab help pay for surgery, What about a deductible?

HI I am looking seriously into surgery by the fall if I am not down to a halfway decent weight. Does anyone know if Michigan Voc. Rehab. has helped any patients pay for WLS. I should have insurance, but it has a high deductible that I may not be able to pay. I am not working, and still have to get a job. Not feeling very well lately, and dont even know if I am gonna last the rest of the school semester. Thanks for your time    — Michelle H. (posted on March 18, 2002)

If you are not working, don't you qualify for the state plan? If your health is that bad, won't SSDI/Medicare help you? Just a couple of things to check into.
