Are you transected? Any chance you have a staple line disruption? You may want to ask for either an upper GI or scope to see what's going on. Good luck.

Not that I am as far out as you but I am 3 weeks post-op and I have 21 the first week and 5 that last 2 weeks. I am doing what I am suppose to be doing except getting my fluids in. Its nearly impossible for me.

Everybody loses different. I suggest making a chart where you record your weekly weight. You will start to see a pattern of what YOUR body is doing. You might lose big in the first wk and nothing the next three, but it averages out. As long as you're following the "rules" you will lose so not to panic. Good Luck!

Unfortunately you have not kept up your profile since you had surgery so it is difficult to provide you with an answer without knowing more info, such as what are you eating? Are you getting in enough calories to sustain a weight loss? Some early post-ops either don't eat enough to keep a bird alive or simply can't. If your body thinks that you are starving it, it may have decided after 22 pounds to try to hold onto the rest and not let go. Check your calories to make sure that you are eating frequently and enough (I'd suggest 6 mini meals a day). The more fuel (food) you put into your body, the more it has to burn. Plateaus do happen, usually the first one around 3 weeks post-op and they can last for a few weeks, so perhaps you are just on a longer than normal first plateau too. And, are you exercising? Getting in enough water? Sorry, but without more info its hard to help....
