Question:
Has anyone had TT when having dropped bladder repaired?

I think I have a dropped bladder, and need to have it repaired, and wondered itf anyone had had both done together to cut down on out of pocket costs. My TT is all out of pocket so trying to cut corners if possible to have it done. Any help will be appreciated    — Linda H. (posted on September 15, 2004)

Linda, I did this. I don't know if it really saved anything since the 2 surgeons (urologist and plastic surgeon) decided that with all the work I was having done I needed a couple of nights in the hospital. I had an inner thigh lift and hernia repair in addition to the bladder lift and tummy tuck. I guess we did save on operating room and anesthesiologist costs but those savings were wiped out by the hospital stay! If you are just having bladder lift and TT, the hospital stay might not be necessary though. hugs, Ann.... RNY 9/10/99.... 260/124

Yes, I saw it done with my own eyes. They also did a hernia repair. But from my own experience, please see BOTH a urologist and a GYN. Had only one of my two problems been fixed, I'd have been much worse off than I was. As it is, the two docs worked together to perform each of their repairs. Of course, in their case, no incision was necessary, if you catch my drift. No scar.
