Question:
Can you have a gastric bypass after stomach stapling?

I had gastric stapling 11 years ago it did not go well i started having dry heaves with in a couple of hours after surgery, later with a ultra sound they said the staples had puled out l lost about 40lb but soon gained them back would like to know if i can have gastric bypass or is there a better choices thank you amber    — Amber T. Yours is unfortunately a VERY common occurence, and folks have big success with revisions. Congrats your on your way to a healthier happier YOU!

Yes, I had stomach stapling 20 years ago. I then had a revision on March 19th 2001. It was a loner surgery because he had to re-do a few things, clean the adhesions up, then do the rny. It has been well worth it. I have lost 173 lbs. in 9 months. I also needed to bring my o.r. reports from stapling , had to have an upper G.I. and an endoscopy.
