Do the dark marks on the skin disappear as you lose weight?

Hi Sarah... mine are fading. My doc told me theymight never go away because
of tissue damage, but they are really lightening up... 18 mths post-op and
down 220 lbs!

The acanthosis nigricans (dark skin rash on my nack, inside elbows, chest,
under arms, lower back) caused by my PCOS has absolutely disappeared since
having surgery, losing some weight, and cureing (sp?) my type II diabetes.
