Question:
Belt Lipectomy
I was wondering cost in Atlanta GA and if anyone has a ps that excepts ins. (great west). I cannot say what the price is in the GA area but I am having one done here
in the Chicago area on August 6th. I do not have enough of a pannus to get
insurance to cover it, I am paying out of pocket $7800. If you do a Google
search with the words belt lipectomy in it you will come up with a lot of
pictures. You may have to search around the site that is brought up, but I
found a lot that way.

I just had the belt done 4 weeks ago in Dothan AL. It was $6750.00. Dr.
Feagin did it and he did a great job!

Hi Sabrina:
My surgeon, Dr. Champion in Atlanta, has only 3 plastic surgeons on his
referral list and; since I went with the woman, I don't remember the other
doc's name.
Dr. MARISSA LAWRENCE was, until a few years ago, chair of the cosmetic
surgery dept. at Northside Hospital, in Atlanta. She still uses Northside
for her surgeries. My oncology dermatologist raved about her work.
I had a lower face to get rid of the pronounced turkey wattle flapping
beneath my jaw, and a brachioplasty to remove the batwings dangling under
my arms.This happened on March 28th of this year (= 2year + 6weeks after
lap RNY, from 3X to size 8).
Her office staff tried valiantly to get insurance to cover them, even
though I told them that I regarded these procedures as elective.
Dr. Lawrence's work is magnificent! My face looks totally natural and
YOUNGER, my arms are normal looking and the scars nicely hidden (unless I
want to take up Flamenco dancing).Her manner is caring and confident, her
nurses most attentive and sensitive to my concerns and post-op care.
I don't know how useful it is to throw our costs as different patients may
have differing degrees of challenges for the same procedure. For example,
at the time of surgery, I'd lost 126 lbs- 4lbs shy of my goal. (Today I'm
146lbs). So there's less skin to remove than if I'd shed 200+ LBS. I was in
surgery for over 5 hours, but came out of the anesthesia with absolutely no
ill effects or pain. The pain meds worked fine for me.
Dr. LAWRENCE is a gifted artist of a plastic surgeon. I'm very happy with
her work. If I could afford it, I'd next have her do a butt lift and upper
thigh reduction. oH WELL.
