Question:
Slow Emptying Stomach

I've been Dx with a Slow Emptying Stomach. Is this something I should be concerned about? Will it keep me from having the surgery?    — JennyInNorthTexas (posted on November 26, 2003)

I had gastroparesis from type one diabetes and had surgery 18 months ago and have done fine. The RNY did resolve this entire issue for me. I had episodes of my stomach not emptying for many hours or a day or two and wouldnt resolve until I stopped eating and got very sick until the stomach was empty I havent had this even once since my RNY.
