Question:
Why am I so hungry

I am hungry so much all the time, I can eat a premade chef salad, no dressing, 2 kinds of cheese, 2 kinds of meat, tom, bean sprouts in about 2 1/2 hours and still not really feel full. What am I doing wrong? Its been 6 1/2 weeks since my surgery and I have lost 40 lbs so far, but feel if I keep it up it will stop, maybe there is a hole in my new pouch....Melody    — Melody N. I believe an answer was given on the main message board. Good luck and I hope it helps.

I had a salad for the first time last night. It was yummy, but it didn't make me all that full and I also ate it over a long period of time. Partly the problem is that lettuce doesn't really fill you up. Try eating some fish. That usually fills me up so fast I can't stand it. Also, after the protein is in, do a little bit of carbs, some bites of potato or bread. These things always fill me up. Plus, as the other poster said, don't eat for so long. How much time are you taking between bites? Maybe you are the rare person who can eat a little faster. Oh, and no water or drink with the food, that can wash it out so that you don't feel full.

Go to www.yahoogroups.com (I hope that is correct) under obesity, there is a group for obesity surgery-hungry. It is for people who don't experience that full feeling, or feel they are hungry too often. Good luck
