congratulations!!! Curves is a great place to start at, it's all women & you won't feel intimidated by hard bodies walking around. THat is where I go & I love it, everyone is so friendly & helpful to. ANother thing is they keep your measurements in their pc & print it out for you every month, that helps you keep up with that. <p> Good Luck

Hi Monique. I hope this works. Congrats on the surgery. I'll be looking to read your updates. I'm still in the beginning of the procees...first meeting (group meeting) not until Feb. 27, 2003. It seems like forever! Best of luck to you. Eve.

Hello everyone. I am a loser!!! I can't believe that it is all OVER. I am now 7 day post op and am happy to say that I had no medical complications. I have a very sore back and am just plain uncomfortable but I hope that everyday it gets better (it has to, the tears can't keep coming..lol). I lost 14 lbs in the hospital. I couldn't believe it when I looked at the scale. I am having a tough time eating so I am using my J-tube once a day to compensate. I never dreamed my incision would be 13 inches long. Is this normal? Thank you to Kimber Patton for updating you all on my surgery. She is a wonderful person and I can't wait for her to have her surgery. Thanks to all for the wonderful words of encouragement. Takre care!

I talked to Monique this afternoon, and she is doing awesome. She said that she isn't in any pain, and is looking forward to going to a regular room tonight. She is a wonderful, strong woman, so lets all send her congratulations on making it safely to the losing side. Way to go, Monique!
