October 6, 2002 Good Evening Folks….. Well I’m home from the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. Got home today around 12:00 PM Sunday Surgery was Thursday @ 7:30 am. Dr. Thirlby did a wonderful job and the staff there was GREAT. I felt so good; I quit taking all pain medications Friday night 36 hours after surgery. I can’t believe how well I’m doing. Just the usual gas associated with surgery, I’m getting all my clear liquids and now heavy liquids down just fine. I will have an appointment to have the staples removed in 13 days from the surgery and at the same time I will have an appointment with the nutritionist to discuss my soft foods diet that will follow. Weight after surgery 317.5 Again to all of you who sent me wishes thanks.

Hello Dennis - <b>CONGRATULATIONS</b> on your upcoming surgery. What a happy and important day for you. One that you have more then earned and you so well deserve. I also live in the Seattle WA area, and will be using Dr. Weber to perform my surgery. My first appointment with him is tomorrow, probably about the same time you're being wheeled into the recovery room? : ) I look forward to reading all the wonderful and exciting changes that you will be blessed with as you begin to make your journey to the healthier side! It is time to start living life for YOU, and this surgery is just the first step of many to come that will lead you in that direction. Embrace life, meet it head on, keep your head held high and a smile on your face. My prayers and best wishes are with you. <i>"The key to happiness is dreams, the key to success is making those dreams come true"</i> Hugs & Aloha, Lei
