Hi Yvonne, I want to wish you the very best on your journey to the new you. I've appreciated seeing your smiling face in our weekly classes. Before you know it will both be in the post-op group-looking forward to getting on that scale every week. If your anything like me I know you must be feeling lots of different emotions. Until I got a surgery date, it was all anticipation. Now I'm thrilled one day and wake up anxious the next, thinking about all the changes post-op. From what everyone says, I guess that's pretty normal. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers in Sept. when you have your surgery. If you need anyone to come kick your tail out of bed and get up and walk, or anything else, I'm just a phone call away. God Speed, Roxane

Hi Yvonne! Big congratulations on your surgery date! I bet you are so excited! Just hang in there and try to be patient! Don’t worry if you are nervous, scared, excited or go through a thousand different emotions. This is all normal, so go with the flow! There’s really nothing you can do with all those feelings surfacing. You may start to doubt yourself and question your decision to have surgery. Just about everyone has had this happen to them. You’re making a decision to have a better quality of life and YOU deserve it!! That gut feeling or that little voice inside lets you know that you’re doing the right thing! Remember that we’re all family here and we’re ready to give you our support, lend an ear and not judge. You know you can always come here and get a dose of confidence and good will! There are lots of us who have had surgery and are in your corner rooting for you!! I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for a successful, problem-free surgery and recovery. I’m so happy for you. Soon you will be on the other side and will join the ranks of the losers. Get ready for your life to change forever. Wishing you much success in your weight-loss journey. Hugs to you today. HAPPY SUMMER SOLSTICE!!! Congratulations on your surgery date! I see you live in SC!!! It's one of my most favorite places!!! I've only been 3 times, but each time is even better than the last. I'm trying to convince my DH to move there when we retire. You're so fortunate to live in such a wonderful state! Anyway, enough rambling - I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Please remember too, that this is a *tool* to use. Make sure you use it wisely. The first year it’s pretty easy, after that I’ve been hearing (I’m not speaking from experience as I’m not a year out yet) that it gets increasingly difficult. Choose the right foods and measurements wisely! Good luck and God Bless!!! RNY 10/31/03 down 105 pounds– I’M IN THE CENTURY CLUB!!!
