Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

When I started out I was very large, my knees were so big I couldn't hardly walk without stopping to catch my breath. I was so depressed only eating to wake up, eating to go to sleep, eating when i was happy, eating when i was sad, just eating, eating, eating. Not until i came to Chicago and met Dr. Madura my life was changed.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Trying to find nice clothes to wear, and not being able to breath or walk, being called names or looked at like i was so strange.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?
