Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I gained a lot of weight after my first child and could not seem to lose it. After my second I did lose with the help of a docotr and pills. I had to go inot the office everyweek to be weighed, checked and given more pills. I went to 135. I was thilled, but when I stopped going, Christmas and temptations, and the weight came back and more. The third child added more and I give up trying to lose for a long time. Then About 5 years ago I tried again. Different diets programs, pills, doctors visits. FinFin and meridia. THey worked for awhile but I would gain it back. I did the fat free...eating 30 grams of fat a day and lost 40 lbs, gain 60. Huh.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

you can't fit in the booths at restuarants. you can't hold your children on your lap...you don't have much of a lap to hold them.
