Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

ALOT OF DEPRESSION , FELT OUT OF CONTROL OF MY LIFE, AND NEDED HELP.

TRYING TO SHOP FOR CLOTHES AND KNOWING PEOPLE LAUGH AT YA.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

EVERY THING SHOPPING SOCIALIZING MORE CONFIDENCE

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

MY DAUGHTER HAD IT AT FIRST I WAS SCARED IT TOOK A YEAR FOR ME TO DECIDE AND JUMPED IN.

Describe your experience with getting insurance approval for surgery. What advice, if any, do you have for other people in this stage?

I DIDNT HAVE A PROIBLEM AT ALL .

What was your first visit with your surgeon like? How can people get the most out of this meeting?

What made you finally decide to have the surgery?

AFTER SEEING MY DAUGHTER AND HOW IT CHANGED HER LIFE. I WANTED IT ALSO.

How did you decide which proceedure to have?

I JUST REACHED ALOT ON THE WEB SITES

What fears did you have about having complications or even dying from from the surgery, and what would you tell other people having the same fears now?

FIRST OF ALL IF YOUR OVER WEIGHT ADN NEED A TOOL THIS IS IT. I HAD FEARS AT 49 YRS OLD BUT ALSO ALOT OF HEALTH ISSUES NOW I HAVE ALOT OF ENERGY AND FEEL GOOD. I WAS A LITTLE SCAARED ABOUT DYING, BUT I WASNT REALLY LIVING BEFORE THE SURGERY. I WAS 226 AT 5 FT AND NOW 122.

How did your family and friends react to your decision? Would you have communicated anything differently if you could now? How supportive were they after your surgery?

EVERYONE WAS SUPPOTIVE I'D DO IT AGAIN TOMORROW IF I NEEDED TO.

How did your employer/supervisor react to your decision? What did you tell him/her? How long were you out of work?

I WAS ON DISABILITY FOR13 YRS

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

MY STAY WAS OK I WAS THERE FOR 4 DAYSAND HAD AN OPEN RNY. BREATH MINTS.

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

NONE

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

I WASNT VERY HUNGRY, I WAS WAITING TO MELT

Describe your first few weeks home from the hospital. What should people expect from this period?

YOU HAVE A WHOLE NEW WAY TO EAT AND ITS NOT AS COMPLICATED AS IT SEEMS

How far did you travel to have your surgery? (If far, how did this affect your aftercare?)

Please describe in detail what things you could and couldn't eat in the weeks and months following surgery. What foods have been off limits? Please explain how your dietary tolerance changed week-by-week, and then month-by-month since surgery.

SHAKES ARE NOT FOR ME PASTA IS TOO FILLING. BUT BASICALLY I EAT ANYTHING JUST SMALL AMOUNTS. IT CAHNGED MONTHLY

ITS OK

I DID HAVE SEVERAL OF THEM BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN I WAS REALLY DROPPING IT FAST
