Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

It has been like a yo-yo all my life.I have been large all of my life.I have been in Weight Watcher and TOPS and just dieted on my own.No success.Until now.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

People making fun of us. Buying cloths.Fitting in a seat at the show.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I can walk faster. My knees do not hurt.I do not get out of breath when I walk.

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

Inner-net,friends,and friends friends.Then I knew this was what I needed to do.

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

Wonderful!!!!!!!! I was there only 1 day.They had everything tha I needed.

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

NO!!!!!!!!!!I feel great.

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

I prayed about it.I was not even scared.My sister was there all the way for me.She took me to all my appointments and is still taking me to the ones now when I have to go.

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

I am a member of TOPS.Take of Pounds Sensiblity.It is a weight club.But it only cost 20.00 to join and 5.00 a month.Everyone has the same problem.This year they voted me to be the leader.I am loving this group.Everyone is so supportive.

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

They look good. I five small tiny scares. They do not look bad.Yes that is what the doctor told me thay would look like.

Please describe any plateau experiences you have had since surgery.

None

Do you notice people treating you any differently now?

Well no. They all are so happy for me. The are always telling me how good I am looking .
