Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

it was dreadfull i was overweight ever sinse well forever i tried everything diet exercise pills nothing worked

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

people starring calling you names not feeling confident

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

just walking and being able to breath

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

found out by television and i knew it was for me

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

my stay in the hospital was great had no complications and pain was on a scale of 1-10 it was a 3 bring a brush book to read and your set

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

no complications

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

i was so excited could not wait any longer

Describe your first few weeks home from the hospital. What should people expect from this period?

well your tired and just want to rest u should just relax for a couple of weeks before starting your normal routine without the eating

How far did you travel to have your surgery? (If far, how did this affect your aftercare?)

did not effect at all only had to trave about half hour away

Please describe in detail what things you could and couldn't eat in the weeks and months following surgery. What foods have been off limits? Please explain how your dietary tolerance changed week-by-week, and then month-by-month since surgery.

no sugar and surprisingly i dont miss it no chineese food no cheese just stick to what the doctor says and you will all be fine

What was your actvity level in the days and weeks after surgery?

after the surgery it was on a scale of 1-10 probably a 5 but now 3 months post op its a 10

What vitamins and/or dietary supplements have you taken since your surgery?

take flintstones childrens vitiams because now you have to chew

What side effects (nausea, vomiting, sleep disturbace, dumping, hair loss etc.) were worse for you? For how long after surgery did they persist? How did you cope with them?

not to much of anything bothered me have lots of heartburn keep the tums handy lost hair but noticable vomiting only twice but my fault

What was the worst part about the entire bariatric surgery process?

that i did not do it sooner

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

i just go on to obesityhelp.com thats enough for me and of couse all my family and friends

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

i have no scares really there so small u cant see them

Please describe any plateau experiences you have had since surgery.

nothing really its only been 3 months feeel great

Do you notice people treating you any differently now?

no there all the same
