Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

Very very unhappy. Made everyone around me unhappy.Especially my family. They are all so supportive in anything I do and they just want to see me healthy and happy again.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Not being able to do much of anything.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

walking really everything

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

My daughter asked me to look into surgery. I thought there was no way I could do this. After a lot of research, I am going thru with it.

Describe your experience with getting insurance approval for surgery. What advice, if any, do you have for other people in this stage?

I had no trouble at all.

What was your first visit with your surgeon like? How can people get the most out of this meeting?

What made you finally decide to have the surgery?

Getting to the point I can not hardly walk.

How did you decide which proceedure to have?

What fears did you have about having complications or even dying from from the surgery, and what would you tell other people having the same fears now?

How did your family and friends react to your decision? Would you have communicated anything differently if you could now? How supportive were they after your surgery?

Great thur out everything. I have a very loving family.

How did your employer/supervisor react to your decision? What did you tell him/her? How long were you out of work?

Stay was excellent. 3days fan underwear tongs

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

I felt relieved that my life is going to get better medically

Describe your first few weeks home from the hospital. What should people expect from this period?

mine were great.

How far did you travel to have your surgery? (If far, how did this affect your aftercare?)

about 100 miles one way

Please describe in detail what things you could and couldn't eat in the weeks and months following surgery. What foods have been off limits? Please explain how your dietary tolerance changed week-by-week, and then month-by-month since surgery.

So far I can eat just about everything

What was your actvity level in the days and weeks after surgery?

each day you do a little more than the day before

multivitamins made up by nutritish

What was the worst part about the entire bariatric surgery process?

The worst part was depression for about 3wks. I wish there was some way to prepare everyone having lap ryn for the depression.

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

none

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

I have 6 little scars. Had no stitches or staples. The doctor even tookmout my gall bladder. Not what I expected.
