Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I have yoyo for years to the point I didn't care what I looked like till my 6yr old grand daughter asked if I was expecting like her mom

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

finding clothes and the way people treat you

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

bending over and touching my feet

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

Dr Keith did some of his surgerys where I work and I saw the results

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

you dont need to bring anything but your own pj's help I stayed 2days and the hosiptal was great

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

I have trouble tolerating the protein shakes so I started to eat earily in the program

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

I couldn't wait to get it over with and start my new life and worked extra hours so i didn't have to think about it much

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

I work to many hours to go to support groups but i have friend who have had the surgery and a sister and they'll all the support Ineed

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

I have several small punture sites and they look fine

Please describe any plateau experiences you have had since surgery.

I plateau frequently every couple of weeks for as long as 1-1/2weeks them started again loosing

Do you notice people treating you any differently now?

yes they act as if I'm part of the group of life again
