upset a lot about being heavy trying everything to lose weight and nothing happening

people don't see you as a person

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

i love to shop now before i could not stand clothes at all but now i shop all the time it has been 6 months so i went from a 2x shirts down to a small/medium and pants 24 down to a 12/13 feeling really good now about myself

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

my friend had it done and what a change it made for her

Describe your experience with getting insurance approval for surgery. What advice, if any, do you have for other people in this stage?

well i had no problem with my insurance

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

my stay was fine i only stayed for 2 days did not need to bring anything just a change of clothes to come home in

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

no problems with my surgery so far

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

excited but nrevous since this was going to be my first surgery ever

Describe your first few weeks home from the hospital. What should people expect from this period?

pain got tube in and some soreness

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

i have my family and friends they are all so great

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

i have small scars since i had a larascopic done

Please describe any plateau experiences you have had since surgery.

my weight lose and adjusting to your pouch changes you lose a lot of weight then it slows done and your new pouch can be tricking so times you can eat 1 thing 1 day then the next you can't handle it

Do you notice people treating you any differently now?

oh yes everyone does not notice me know and also they say i look so much better now and that is what bothers me the most
