Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I HAD DIBITIS.ASTHMA , HIGH BLOOD, BAD BACK, SLEEP PROBLEN AND THE HOLD NINE YARDS. I COULDN'T FIND ANYONE TO DO THE SURGERY.!! I COULDN'T WALK TO THE MAIL BOX . I WAS MISSERABLE. UNTIL DR POPOOLA DID MY SURGERY. IT HAD ONLY BEEN A FEW DAYS . NOT EVEN TWO WEEKS AND I ALREADY FEEL BETTER THAANKS FOR ALL THE HELP. SINCERELY, SHIRLEY THOMPSON

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

BEING SICK ALL THE TIME WAS THE WORST THING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO DO THINGS LIKE OTHERS

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR SEVEN DAYS. THE HOSPITAL WAS GOOD NURSES AND ALL TOOK GOOD CARE OF ME. YOU NEED TO TAKE ONE CHANGE OF CLOTHING,TOOTH BRUSH, HAIR BRUSH AND THE NESSITIES YOU USE EVERY DAY AT HOME

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

NO

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

I'M TRYING TO THINK THIN EVERY DAY AND IT HELPS ME A LOT.

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

I WAS ON THE INTERNET A LOT THAT IS WHERE I FOUND MY SURGEON

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

THEY ARE FINE

NONE IT HAS ONLY BEEN NOT QUITE TWO WEEKS
