Having people make fun of you.

I enjoy doing everything now. Most especially being able to fit into a chair & cross my legs.

I worked with a girl that had it done. My first impression was there has to be a better way.

Describe your experience with getting insurance approval for surgery. What advice, if any, do you have for other people in this stage?

Mt experience was easy. The doctor's office handled it all. Don't give up.

What was your first visit with your surgeon like? How can people get the most out of this meeting?

My first visit was informative. The surgeon explained the procedure to me & showed me pictures of what my stomach would look like after the surgery. Ask lots of questions.

My health was going down hill.

My surgeon only does one type of precedure.

What fears did you have about having complications or even dying from from the surgery, and what would you tell other people having the same fears now?

My only fear was there being a leak around the staples inside. No fears of dying. Trust in God to take care of you.

My family was excited about my decision. I would have communicated nothing different. My immediate and extended family is very supportive.
