Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I had no very little problem with weight gain except pregnacy and for about a yr afterwards with my boys ( not my girls for some weird reason ) Then menapause happed to me along with huge lifestile change I was active and ate healthy before then in the car all the time and fast food afterwards I gained 150 lbs in a yr and a half and about 35 more lbs in the next few yrs. I tried everything I could think of. You name a diet, I DID IT. I exercized the best I could but by the I had back, knee, and breathing problems and couldn't get up from the floor so easily any more, even walking was a challange, I used those scooters in the super markets and stores that had them and shopped those places as much as possible because they had them. I had good self esteem but I was still embarrased to be so large. My primary care Doctor asked if I would be interested in the possibility of gastric bipass. and my new juorney began.
