Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

Whether I was happy or sad. Food was the escape. Emotionally, I accepted that I was obese but I wasn't happy. Apart of me knew that my weight was the source to most of my problems.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Not being able to do what most people my age were doing. I was tired and lazy all the time. I was hiding when I should have been living life to the fullest.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Honestly, EVERYTHING. The little things are the best! Being able to do outdoor activities, crossing my legs and the list goes on and on. =)
