Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I was never a big eater, one meal a day sometimes if that...

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Body aches & pain, humility, not being able to sit at a movie theater with my children, the things people would say as if I could not hear them... many things. Being single.... or singled out.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Dance without pain, swim, jog, go to the movies & wear all those cute clothes I was never able to wear. The look on peoples face is priceless during a fat joke when I say I once weighed 300lbs.

ARE YOU READY TO PAY IT FORWARD & SHARE YOUR JOURNEY? Your journey will help highlight the many ways weight loss surgery improves lives and makes a difference in our families, communities and world. EACH JOURNEY COUNTS as a voice towards greater awareness.
