Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
My weight has always been a problem my entire life. The scale had always been up and down since I was 9 years old. Comforting my feelings with food seemed to be the problem. I notice it more post surgery. The surgery has made it so much easier to notice, and i have not regrets whats so ever...
What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?
The worst thing about being overweight is people don't pay attention to you. They look right past you. And, you have to wear the clothes that fit you, not the clothes you want to wear... uggg. I hated that...
I hate taking medicine... My Synthroid dosage has dropped 100 mcg since surgery. ( 2 mos post surgery, down 28 pounds)
If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?
I enjoy trying on clothes, though I don't buy alot since I am still loosing. I enjoy day tripping with my family, and actually doing things with them! I am no longer staying behind and observing... I am in the ditches, and exploring. We are exploring beaches in the winter time, looking for sea glass. A new family hobby.
I enjoy cooking again! Who knew? I value a great tasting dinner, and my family does too! I've been watching the food network, and watching the shows to learn how to COOK PROPERLY, and not the lazy way. (in the box fast fixes)
