Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I was always extremely thin as a child tons and tons of energy,,,, I did start gaining weight until my son... I started at 105 and ended up at 303. I had my baby at a naval hospital... so they never did track my weight properly.. after the baby I lost a few pounds but was in the midst of post partuim depression... so I stayed this weight for a long time... I went on Phen fen... and was down to 175 and they took it off the market... so I went up to 270 again..

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

I went to an amusement park with my son and I had to leave the ride because I didnt fit ... My son said "that ok mommy I don't like amusement parks anyway let's go home" My son loves amusement parks... even today...

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

being able to go to amusement parks flying on a plane and not having to wear an extender or buy and extra seat.
