Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

Being over weight I'm depressed a lot.I put myself down so that others won't have a chance to say anything about me. I hate that I'm over weight. Sometime I wonder why my husband married me. I don't like for him to look at my body because I myself do not like to look at it.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

The worst part about being over weight is going shopping. I can never find anything cute to wear. Everything reminds me of clothes my grand would wear. The last time I went shopping with my sister and cousin I cried in the dressing room. The other worst part is different part of your body hurts all the time because the pressure applied for the weight. It hurts to hear the dr tell me my knees hurt because of my weight and it will only get worst if I don't lose weight.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I haven't had any surgeries
