Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I have been on High Blood Pressure and High Cholesterol meds for 12 yrs now and have tried several diets...they work for awhile and then the darn weight comes back and then more...it frustrates the heck out of me. I am a "professional over the road truck driver and the federal government has cracked down on us really hard lately. Its time to get this weight off and have it come off the right way....once and for all.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Constant shortness of breath...can not do activities with my grand kids. Sweating my butt off and looking like a "slob" due to excessive sweating when I walk in a store. It is embarassing to both myself and whomever is with me.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I am scheduled for surgery on July 24. Not able to give any info on this yet....but am looking forward to it when I can.
