Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I have been overweight for a very long time. I do not eat at regular times, I can eat and eat and not feel full..I start a diet and things go well for two or three months and then one day you wake up and the will power is just gone..
It does not matter what triggers my eating. If I am happy or sad or angry. It does not matter
Well my surgery is on the 18th of February. I think it has been over six months.
I am now at a high risk so the Doctor is doing the sleeve gastrectomy and if I do well then he will do the gastric bypass...because my weight is high and I have more diagnoses he will do the sleeve surgery first
What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?
There are many things I guess but the most thing is that I can not go to the zoo or park to play with my two grandchildren. They are 6 and 4.To run and play.
No energy, being S.O.B. all the time. I take 13 pills in the morning and 11 at night. I hope to get rid of some of those medications. Some I can't but hopefully some I can.
Not being able to wear beautiful clothes like I use to.
I don't know how I could forget this..I have had bladder problems for three years now. I have had three bladder surgery without any success and I think I have tried all bladder pills...The last surgery the uroligist said to me if I thought about having weight loss surgery. He said they losing all the weight would greatly help the bladder so he refered me to Dr. Lalor in Bowling Green Ohio.
If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?
