Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I have been overweight my entire life. I have tried every diet out there including diets pills and crazy exercise routines. Nothing was working. Then I finally decided to get weight loss surgery and after a long ore surgery process, I can now say it was the best thing I have ever done in my entire life!

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

The worst thing about being overweight ( I am not at goal yet , I am a recent post op) is not being able to do things you want to. I felt uncomfortable going to amusement parks, restaurants and many other places. Now that I am learning to control my weight through my sleeve, I am a much happier and comfortable person overall.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Even though I am very new post op, I love being able to fit into smaller clothes. It is the best feeling in the world. Especially when you have been heavy your entire life.
