Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

when i wasa child i was very thin. when i became a teenager i had avery traumatic experiance.. i was abused. i was taking from my parents at 11... food became my bestfriend.. i ate when i was mad and sad, i eventually ate all the time, i got pregnant at 16 and my weight just went out of control.. by the time i was 26 and pregnant with my 4th child i weighed 305. as i was pushing my son out the incosiderate dr was tell me i should consider gastric bypass.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

the worst thing was alwaysbeing out of breathe, not being able to comfortably tying my shoes or climbing stairs. i hated to by clothes..

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

i felt like i was on cloud 9.. the feeling was just amazing to loose that weight... sadly i only lost 69lbs.. when i first recovered i was hitting the gym all the time and then i started working, i had another baby and went through a very stressful time and now i am 20lbs away from my pre surgery weight and i am looking to have revision surgery or even the lap band.. i am tired
