Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I have been dieting on every possible diet since as long as I can remember.I was a closet eater and just way out of control.I was in a bad marriage for 32 years which added to me eating so badly since I didn't care about myself then.I failed every diet beacuse the weight always came back with extra pounds to add to it.I needed help!!!

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Not being able to enjoy life and playing with my grandkids were the worse things about being overweight.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I had roux-en-Y-gastric bypass surgery on 12/27/2012.It's been 21 days today and I have lost 14 lbs since surgery and a total of 38 lbs since first seeing my doctor,.I am enjoying fitting in my clothes much better so far and surviving on little amounts of food.I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel....after first month of surgery,I have lost a total of 41 lbs since I first seen doctor Yu .....yippeeee!
