Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I have battled my weight for all my life always being the biggest one where ever we went. I hated going to social functions I was afraid I embarssed my husband

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Not being able to sit comfortably in an airplane seat , movie theater, ride a horse, being hot all the time , having to wear ugly clothes

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I have not lost enough weight yet to reaaly tell adiffrence in myself

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

Looking up information on the web and reading Carney wilsons book

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

My stay in the hospital was fine at ALvarado the have individual rooms with recliners in them . I slept in them the first two nights it was more comfortable. I was in for 4 days due to a slight fever. You really need nothing. The hospital supplied everything I needed for the stay

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

I have had no complications

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

I felt ok I knew this was the right thing for me to to the only day I got butterflies was the morning of the sugery

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

I use obesity. com as my support page the local groups meet at inconvient times for me. It is nice to have this sight to go read up on

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

my scars are almost invisable better than I expected

Please describe any plateau experiences you have had since surgery.

I am at a plateau right now and have been for 4 days I was at this weight for a long time a while ago so I think this is where my body thinks it should be for now hopefully it will start moving again soon
