Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

Struggled with my weight since I was 12 years old. I used food as an emotional stabilizer. Tried many diets and programs all with some success at first but then diminished results as well as ultimate failure.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

The way you notice people staring at you and making assumptions that you are lazy because you're obese. People make assumptions that your wait is just because you can't have the willpower to change.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Just recently had the surgery. I'm only 4 days post op so just starting my journey.
