Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I have struggled with my weight all my life. Proper eating and exercise was never taught growing up.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

The worst thing about being overweight is complex. First, you are always self conscience about your appearance. Second, you do not feel like being active or doing anything with your family. Third, medically is life threatening. Overall, the worst is the feeling of hopelessness.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Dr Dan and the staff at Summa Bariatric are amazing. They have given me the chance to have my life back and have hope again. My energy is up and because of the weight loss I feel like being more active. I have a long way ahead of me but now I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks Dr. Dan and all the staff at Summa Bariatric!
