Surgery gives couple their lives back

Dr. Carl Pesta's patients often change their birthdates to reflect the day he helped transform their lives through surgery.

"My work is extremely gratifying," said Pesta, a bariatric surgeon with Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Warren Campus, where he's performed hundreds of procedures in the last five years.
