Valerie Franks Bariatric Coordinator

Valerie Tokajer Franks is a lifelong resident of Manatee County. Due to the kindness of Manatee County and surrounding communities she was a liver Transplant recipient in 1988. She has been employed with Manatee Memorial Hospital for 6 years, beginning in Labor and Delivery as a Unit Assistant. Valerie became a part of our team after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration from The State College of Florida.

She has been happily married for 5 years to Andrew a Manatee County Sherriff’s Deputy. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family & church family while going out for food, movies, and shopping!

Valerie’s role focuses on being a direct liaison to our patients. She specializes on helping our Weight Loss patients start and continue to meet their goals She helps our patients every step of the way from arranging appointments, working with insurance companies, and support before, during, and after surgery.
