    Dr. Bryan D. Brewer is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is an Advanced Laparoscopic General and Bariatric Surgeon who has practiced in DFW since 2011. He specializes in a broad range of minimally invasive general surgeryand bariatric procedures. Dr. Brewer attended Tulane University in New Orleans for undergraduate and graduate degrees in Cell and Molecular Biology. He received his medical degree from University of Texas Medical School Houston and completed his general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Society and Society of Baylor Surgeons. Dr. Brewer values the opportunity to guide his patients along the journey to change habits that lead to weight gain into habits that maintain better health. He is committed to helping each patient find their perfect medical, non-surgical, or surgical weight loss option. Dr. Brewer is a strong advocate for utilizing available weight loss tools to reinforce the healthy behavioral changes needed for success, and utilizing this success to help address the emotional source of excess weight. He specializes in all weight loss procedures, including laparoscopic revision bariatric surgery and the gastric balloon. Dr. Brewer also offers a wide range of general surgery procedures. These include laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic abdominal wall and groin hernia repair, laparoscopic hiatal hernia repair and laparoscopic anti-reflux procedures. Dr. Brewer proudly calls Denton, Texas his hometown. Although, he will always consider New Orleans a close second because of ties to his alma mater and dedication to the community of Tulane alumni. Currently, he resides in Dallas, and can often be found on Katy Trail, at the gym, cheering on our local sports teams, or enjoying time with friends and family throughout the metroplex. The Brewer family is committed to international relief work. Dr. Brewer has served on medical missions to the Himalayan Mountains of India, China, and Tibet, while his sister teaches english in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
